CSEngineering is looking to add Administrative Support personnel to our growing team in Washington, D.C. This position directly supports NOAA within the Office of Space Commerce (OSC); The Office of Space Commerce is the principal unit for space commerce policy activities within the Department of Commerce. Its mission is to foster the conditions for the economic growth and technological advancement of the U.S. commercial space industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform management administrative support functions including developing, evaluating and monitoring outgoing correspondence, consulting, review incoming correspondence prior to distribution and ensure compliance with established deadlines.
- Recommend process improvements for OSC/NCO administrative operations and processes.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for leadership and provide OSC/NCO administrative functions.
- Coordinate leadership leave and travel schedules and provide logistical support for senior-level government meetings.
- Provide day-to-day office management to include handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, phone calls, faxes, and maintains office files within the Department of Commerce (DOC) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) standards.
- Serve as the principal travel advisor and process travel orders for OSC/NCO leadership.
- Maintains copies of OSC/NCO budget reports.
- Provide assistance with the Department of Commerce security program for OSC/NCO. Supports property management activities, and coordinates office space and Information Technology (IT) services.
- Support OSC/NCO with other administrative duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: Top Secret
- At least 4 years of administrative experience
- Knowledge of Federal Government travel regulations is a plus.
- Knowledge of Federal Government procurement and budget practices
- Ability to evaluate travel and budget reports to resolve discrepancies.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated skill in using discretion and tact when dealing with multiple levels of senior-level staff.
- Ability to initiate action independently after having been given general guidance/direction.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
