CSEngineering delivering Chain One: A web3 Infrastructure for Disconnected Environments
Annapolis, MD – CSE VETS LLC, a Constellation Software Engineering, LLC-led joint venture announced it has been selected by AFWERX for an STTR Phase II in the amount of $1,199,200.00 focused on its solution Chain One: A web3 Infrastructure for Disconnected Environments, to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering the Open Topic SBIR/STTR program in 2018 which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded and now on February 7th, 2024, will start its journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America.
Quote From Company
CSEngineering Vice President, Decentralized Solutions, Mr. Christopher Stone stated “We believe that DAF must adopt new, highly flexible, and resilient hybrid data architectures that move away from the previous generation, hub-and-spoke connectivity toward highly redundant mesh networks where systems of different types can connect flexibly and automatically. Such networks should autonomously share data of different types and classification levels across the Joint and Allied Forces. They must adjust gracefully to degradation and reconfigure and change in spectrum, as needed, to maintain connectivity.
When addressing strategic challenges spanning from Digital Material Management (DMM) to collaborative combat aircraft to edge devices, distributed ledgers and robust encryption offer a technological opportunity to harden the Air Force’s Resilient Information Sharing strategic capability. DAF does not currently have a shared distributed ledger platform for smart contracts and web3 applications. Air Force developers need a repeatable way to spin up infrastructure so that they can reliably deploy Smart Contracts and web3 applications in disconnected environments to execute the DMM Vision. Chain One will ensure rapid, secure, and efficient Web3 application delivery, fully compliant with the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Initiative (DSOP).”
